The Best Eco Destinations

Australia is loaded with incredible eco destinations and all kinds of accommodation

Eco tourism isn't just great for the planet. It pretty much caters to everyone's idea of a good time.

Luxury lodges, islands, high rise, low rise and camping - if you want to be an eco tourist, Australia is the right place to be. Eco tourism around the world is the hottest holiday & leisure activity since health retreats, but Australia just happens to have the best of pretty much every environment to go with any eco holiday idea you can imagine.

The closest thing I got to being an eco tourist growing up was holidaying in a tent. Holidays in a tent these days ranges from a real tent, literally still pitched somewhere to glamping - like this one at Spicers Canopy (which is actually a conference venue). Loosely based on a tent.

You can now camp literally anywhere across hundreds of private properties around Australia with Youcamp or glamp on the beach in high luxury at places like Sal Salis in Western Australia.

Tree side, sea side, farm stay, health retreats, camping & glamping.

Kakadu, Uluru, Fraser Island, Barrier Reef, Melbourne, Tasmanian Wilderness and Shark Bay - all boast a range of eco accommodation that suits every budget.

Minimal, maximal, health or hedonism. Stay for the food, the experience, the peace, the eco practices, the nature or just to hang out.

There are literally hundreds of eco places to stay at and enjoy Australia - and don't forget, most cities now boast carbon neutral hotels and many with all kinds of eco living options like Alto in Melbourne city.

There are an increasing number of them on ekko.world, but you can get great info and details on pretty much all of them on Green Getaways
